Well, has the winter been snowy enough for you? Not for me! The North York Moors have been stunningly beautiful in dark blizzard and also with thrilling sunlight towering above the snow and ice. It has certainly kept me busy painting the spectacular wilderness.
New
prints and a new exhibition venue
I've been equally busy with the railway's one million pound Bridge and Wheels Appeal for a new Bridge 30 and repairs to its workhorse steam engine 80135. I even spent two days in a snow hole on the a bank alongside the old bridge, gathering images for one of the Appeal paintings (Bridge and Wheels)
All four pictures are now available as limited edition prints. The first three paintings have now sold, but the latest is still for sale – contact me if you are interested in owning the original.
The full range at the Levisham studio
You are welcome to visit my studio at the Station House on Levisham Station. With the help of my assistant Emma-Jane, we have redesigned the displays to offer more original paintings - both landscapes and railway scenes - and a bigger range of landscape prints along with original watercolours. We will, of course, keep offering the highly successful railway limited edition prints... along with greetings cards.
The studio will - as ever - be open every day trains run. If you want to be sure of catching me there in person it would be worth ringing ahead on 01751 470112.
